Bring your skin back to the state of balance

While surfing the Internet for natural skincare products, I came across Z-Mei's web site.

Being a firm believer in Chinese herbs, I am impressed by Z-Mei's products which are formulated with "food-grade" ingredients - naturally rich in vitamins, minerals and ancient Oriental herbs that penetrate the skin to deliver treatment at the cellular level. They are free from chemical preservatives, artificial colours, and petroleum-based oils.

My friend with sensitive skin has benefited from Z-Mei's products.

Z-Mei's products contain Huang Lian, and I learned from another friend, a TCM practitioner that Huang Lian is banned in Singapore. Currently, he is carrying out clinical trial using his herbal medicine containing Huang Lian on cancer patients in China. Some cancer patients are responding well.

On 23 January 2008, I wrote to Health Sciences Authority in Singapore to seek clarification on the ban of Huang Lian (Coptis Chinensis) in Singapore. I received the below reply from them on 20 February 2008.

"You may wish to know that with the recent Poisons(Amendment) Rules 2007, berberine, the active ingredient in Coptis Chinensis has been exempted as a poison in cosmetic products not intended for treatment of human ailments."

Please logon Z-Mei's web site for more information on their products or email us at admin@cancerstory.com

With the implementation of the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD) in January 2008 in Singapore, we are unable to sell Z-Mei's products online as we do not have the financial resources to ensure full compliance with ACD.
