Our new mission is to campaign for patient safety and advocacy in Singapore upon the launch of our maiden initiative, "Smart-Chips Implant Programme"(SIP) on 21 June 2009.
"SIP" aims to help in preserving a pool of ethical, responsible and dedicated doctors and nurses. They are the pillars of the healthcare system and hence they have an important relationship to patient safety and quality of care in public hospitals.
"SIP" is literally the act of sipping, and hence it will take time for "Smart-Chips" to be successfully "implanted" into the recipients. It can only succeed when patients and their family members are willing to come forward to identify and nominate doctors and nurses (in public medical institutions) to receive "Smart-Chips".
